maya is quite good at this right now, so we can copy shamelessly.) . No - thats very dangerous! We can make SIMILAR features, but copy shamelessly we can´t - especially with the european software-patents just around the corner. It will be possible to patent everything from a formula to a certain wa...

Really cool update! Thanks a bunch - testing like crazy now. Note: Widgets would "really" be useful if they also had some sort of real-time distance measurement + angle value that shows while transforming. Later one could add "snap-to-point-values" to set rules! This would increase live-modelling ac...

Crash crash and crash (at least under Mac OS X 10.3.8) 1) it starts up normally and everything seems normal 2) then I add an HE mesh object and the mesh looks skewed, it's a box - but the box is about 50 % skewed in the Y direction) 3) Trying to move vertices around works fine until it crashes 4) Tr...

The new translator is really useful - but it does take some time getting
used to.

Personally I think it´d rock if we could "paint" extrudes along an axis,
you know...just like drawing a line and the extrudes follows every "set" snap?

(Fantastic work by the way!)

When I draw around in paint-texture mode (or the new in-uv-texture painter) and accidentally hit "CTRL + Z" ...everything get's one color
and all work is lost. All links to the images in memory are gone even
though they're there.

WHY OH WHY? (Cries)

Bug or my lack of knowledge?:

Thanks for the work, I'm sure people who can't build on their own appreciate it. Absolutely! :D Thanks a million til Gabio and others for keeping us up to date with the bleeding edge + information on everything. It has become a habit of mine to keep downloading & testing every single bit. Can't wai...

If I understand, you can assign your manualy defined UV texture coordinates by adding new texture layer with the same image and define mapping coordinates as UV. Nikola Radovanovic scar.gradac.net I'm not sure I follow you :?: What I would like to have is a "Make-these-textures-active" butto...

Or does it have this feature already? Isn't that what the TexFace toggle does? I don't think that gives as much control as controlling this texturing through the slots tho. You might want to just use that toggle for preview renders then save your work to image & add it as a texture channel later. M...

Questions: 1) Is there a way to quickly save my new textures and automatically assign them to the face's I've manually assigned by clicking on them in UV mode? 2) Will this feature be able to automatically update the material slots with the additional "textures" that I paint "On-the-go" and "add" te...

WOW! I just tried the new "in-image" editor in This tuhopuu Blend and I have to comment on it: ---> AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't belive this feature hasn't been added to the standard BF Blender yet. I've been playing around with it all morning over here at work and it's incredible. Just click any...

Probably not - unless the prices where really low and bandwith really high. Most online renderfarms for other software today are so expensive that as a hobbyist I wouldn't even consider it. But I'm no hobbyist anymore (well - a little) I do work with Blender at work every day and yet I've not encoun...

a rather NASTY crash bug: Retraceable steps: --------------------- 1) Press space, add text 2) get out of text-type mode and into object mode (tab) 3) Convert the text to Curve by pressing Alt + C 4) Convert the Curve to mesh by pressing Alt + C again 5) Enter editmode (tab) 6) Select all vertices w...

Ditto that - Yafray is indeed appreciated even tough it's equally appreciated that the internal Renderer is improving all the time. The reason for this is simple: With two renderers (Yafray and BlenderRender) there's an option so an artist can choose what render output he/she want's. I tend to rende...
