Sorry to hijack your thread . I installed an Archlinux build of blender 2.36 and yafray and it works fine, by that i mean i can render using yafray and the blender plugin not the xml file. However to when i try to render with yafray and the CVS version of blender via the pluin, it just closes on me....

Sorry gabio it was my fault. The downloaded file was not complete hence the seg fault. One thing though, the Xtra files contain files with extention dll. I found nothing like that in the released 2.6 version are the libraries for linux now built with a dll extention? Also when i select to use the de...

Hi gabio when is your linux build going to come out? There is one by -efbie- but the CCGsubsurf insn't activated plus the game engine isnt activated either. thanks and enjoy the holidays! :D Oh also any pointers to where i can find a recent documentation on how to build blender on linux using scons....

Thanks Gabio for your builds. A question though, why does your linux builds most times lag behind the windows ones? Is windows your prefered platform or something?

I for one don't know how to build from cvs so i always rely on your builds to see whats new.

Hi all, i run debian sid. the official blender 2.36 runs well on my system. I downloaded the testing build just to play with some of the new stuff. I extacted the tar.gz file which created a directory with all the files in it. I located the blender file and tried to run it but it just doesn't respon...

problem with bevel function in this build

I'm having some trouble with extrution . I'm working a head and i need do some extrustion for the eyes. I used the "region" option but it restricts me to extrution only along the face normals and not in the direction that i want which is along the y-axis. This is not so in the official 2.34 release....

Well this is different. I don't get the seg fault problem but what i get is the message : Error loading /home/napoleon/blender-2.32-linux-glibc2.2.5-i386/blender failed <invalid read error> When i move the mouse, blender starts and seems to work alright.I have Slack 9.1 running Xfce 4.05,xfree864.4....
