Paint Guy, As far as I know, serious proposals that are well documented have a chance of being considered. It is highly likely that not everything gets in. You should try to contact one of the developers of the winter kamp if you mean business After the 2.5 rewrite, the core of blender will have bee...

Tim5, I suggest you spend $25 and buy yourself a copy of Carrera. You obviously prefer it above blender. I apologize for my blunt reaction, but posts like this have become very tiresome. The developers ARE working on inproving blender in every possible way. Some things take more time. If you would h...

F9, look under the modifier tab (subdiv became a modifier at a certain time). You'll find a button with "add modifier", select and choose from the list.

happy to see you're giving blender a try. I should warn you that it can be addictive ;)

Hi,

I found the way you asked your question quite aggressive, but I'll answer it anyway...

Since both apps are free, try them both and make up your own mind. I would advise you to take your time to get to know both programs, first impressions can be deceiving.

Happy blending, or not

hi, Wait for a few days. For as far as I know the blender shop is not permanently manned (or womanned), so it may be a couple of days to get a responds. I'm sure they'll sort it out. You have your order number and they have your name and adress through the blendershop login. It should be possible to...

hi,

question: are the buildings, ground and trees all together one mesh? if so, you might wanna try to make a seperate mesh/object for each of the things :/

buildings one object, ground surface one object, trees one object, that should eliminate your 16 material limit problem...

hi,
welcome to blender

Unfortunately blender evolves so fast, that the documentation and tutorials get outdated pretty quick.

Maybe try a few other tutorials. There are plenty lying around on the internet.

Percevere, blender is a great program

Keud Bybor,

Do you have the Aero special effects on under windows vista? If so, turning off the eye candy might help. On linux Compiz doesn't work well with blender either.

good luck

maybe you can try to turn off Aero. Aero doesn't play nice with openGL and blender. Maybe run the classic windows theme?
