compile from source

Just a question,

when you compile blender from source on your own system, does it run faster then the official foundation builds?

hello, welcome to blender,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I suggest you ask this question at http://www.elysiun.com, you're more likely to get an answer there since it's the community site.

blender.org is for the developement of blender

hi,

google gave out 'summer of code' results. a lot of the links on their page point to pages in the wiki wich is down.

maybe it would be a good idea to contact google to adjust the links to where the information is.

people looking up stuff otherwise might get dissapointed

currently you can shift-s to snap the cursor and selected things and the grid.

Would it be possible to add 'the dot' here too?

probably a stupid questions, otherwise the developers would have done so already...

well, some googling gave me this link

http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB220-en--Ins ... ore-4.html

and after installing 'compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386' through yum the test release works :))

(wow, I actually solved a problem in linux)

thanks!

maybe the fact that my glibc is for i686 and not for i386 architecture?
