what do you want to do?

but have you used gcc (mingw) or the mscv compiler?
i mean it should be possible to compile blender without MSVC.

Why Cygwin should be supported.

hi. i think that cygwin should be supported because not everyone has access to the expensive MSVC. almost every windows developer owns a copy of MSVC. but if you want that artists can compile (the latest?) blender on win32, cygwin should be included. it isn't that mutch work as it may sound. i could...

i think in 3d it could happen to write some math specs. i know about MathML but these are for most *older* people not that known like LaTeX where you can write math specs really easy. i don't like every XML format because you always have to type so mutch tags. for those how don't like to write plain...

(msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio) they act like there was never something other than .NET. but if you have a MSDN subsc...

hadn't the problem with msvc.

perhaps you have checked on the c++ tab in the projectsettings
to generate warnings as errors.

Re: Started comment translation

hey! very cool!

save them on your machine first. someone with writeaccess has to put
them in the cvs. don't ask me who.

perhaps you could edit you posting and add the filesnames you have translated.
so if others are also working on it won't translate files you already finished.

.NET is evil, evil I tell you! you don't have to use the .NET part. i don't like it too. i use MSVC6. with .NET i had to buy a supercomputer. it's very slow on "older" machines. the .NET framework is just another lock in from MS. even if they tell you it's portable. so if you can get a MSVC6 copy g...

with cygwin i ran into a problem i was not able to solve (yet?). cygwin does not have a libdl library. a short google search showed that i'm not the only one with this problem. this forced me to use MSVC. MSVC is pretty cool if you like IDE's. and the debugger is very good. but it's also very expens...

Re: Dutch source Comment translation

good idea. i tryed to translate some comments with a litte dict. very hard because i have no idea about how dutch works. i could point you to the right lines in the files or post the comments directly here. so the nonprogrammer translaters have not to deal with code. but start a new thread for...
