- Topic: Windows vs. Linux - which renders faster?

In my experience Linux is faster... but not necessarily straight after an install. It all depends on the distribution you use and on how much time you spend on tuning the system i.e. turning off services that you don't need, recompiling the kernel with just the options you use. I've been a UNIX admi...

I'd rather wait and get a book that's up to date, well written and tested. There's nothing worse than trying to do a badly written tutorial as all that happens is you get frustrated with it. All good things come to he who waits. It can't be that long off now, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Sedget...

Just worked through it env... really very good. I tried doing a space scene a few years ago and gave up because the planet in it looked naff. Might have to dig out that old blend and rework it with a bit of your magic. I'm now going to have a go at some of the other tutorials you've got on your site...

I'd like to see the faces change colour when you're in UV face select (mesh highlighted and you press f and select a face). It would make life a lot easier as it's sometimes quite hard to tell if you've deselected a face in a group of others. Or am I being thick and there's been a way to do that for...

I think putting in the old version would be a major backward step. Better to wait until the newer version of Solid or one of the other games engine's is implemented. That way everyone will be happy, animators and gamers alike. I get goose bumps just thinking what Blender is going to be like another ...

Blender Manual Deliver Address
I'm moving house on the 20th of Feb and I'm a little worried about if I'm going to recieve my nice shiny 2.3 manual. Ton's email said that you'll be shipping it mid to late Feb which means I'm not going to get it. I've just changed my shop account address to my work, will that do or who do I have to...
