it certainly is possible. my plan is to test adding platform specific things like getting 'Recent folders' etc. data from KDE, MacOS, Win32, Gnome etc. to be used in the file browser etc. where places which have directory navigation. there am interested in using DesktopSystem data, but just in the B...

indeed. especially if we get pickleable blender objects one day! altho wrapping them to such and using a way to get them back from pickled data is easy.

what is that platform? we are using an xseed, works nicely - and drqueue in the local lan at the studio.

EDIT: seems that i had totally misread the question. now i read that "python commands" means the API - there are many kinds of module browsers for python, like in ipython you can just do "import module" and then "module.<tab-tab>" to see the contents of that module, etc. and help(module.function) wo...

is Blender responsive then you e.g. pan & zoom 3dview, IPO editor etc? i think it is close to as fast as possible..

but yah GLSL and realtime physics you get in GE, have fun :)

i think the blender application / framework itself, and not the game engine, is a good platform for applications.

what performance problems do you find in it? e.g. zooming in & out in a 3d / buttons / ipo window is fast!

havent tried that - might a bit later, now just asking to make sure i understand correctly: the bone rotates as wanted, but the deformation it should cause is not updated? is it updated at some later point? am wondering if this is a missing dependency graph call in the api.
