It depends on which vertices you move.

If you move two and they do what you see, move two that are adjacent to it.
Ahhh, that's interesting, I did not know that. You learn something new everyday.... Thanks!

You can't have concave quad faces in blender, meaning a "c" shape. you'll have to make the top and bottom faces into triangles. (select face & press ctrl-T)

I think you are talking about Booleans. Yes, you can add a Boolean modifier to meshes in the edit buttons window. Do a search here or on Elysiun.com for more info.

gospel_virus: I agree that a user interface ought to be "intuitive," but who appointed you to be the one who determines what an "intuitive" interface is like? And define exactly what "intuitive" means? It's a relative term. What's "intuitive" to one person may not be to someone else. So it's rather ...

Actually there is only a confirm if you quit by pressing 'q' or clicking Quit on the File menu. But if you close Blender by clicking X on the window header, there is not a prompt at all.... That is a discrepancy that can be confusing to the users. Hmm, I guess I am wrong. Clicking Quit on the File ...

there is already a confirm on quit... I'd rather not see another prompt there though, or another default. I'd much rather see control+q become the quit combination [it is on at least the text editor already] Actually there is only a confirm if you quit by pressing 'q' or clicking Quit on the File m...

Joeri: I agree with your points. However--it is a user interface convention to ask if you want to save before closing. Practically every application I've ever used has this as a feature. True, it's up to the user to save, but as human beings we all are prone to mistakes. The interface should be desi...

Blender 2.37a crashes when clicking Append...

Every time I click Append... Blender crashes: a Windows-style dialog box pops up saying there was an error and Blender has to close. I'm on Win XP SP2.... and using Blender 2.37a, which is SUPPOSED to be the debugged version..... but I've never had a problem appending before this version! Does anybo...

You're right, Quicktime is not listed in the fileformat list. But bmp is listed, which seems strange.

For some reason this build won't open .BMP files as textures. The console window says "Unknown fileformat" when I try to load a .BMP file and the image does not appear in the preview. Can anyone else verify if this is a bug? THanks

Ok, I was just using that link as an example of the type of effect I was talking about.

Thanks for the tip, though, I'll have to try that.

Fresnel Shader for Fuzzy Materials

Hi! I was reading a book that talks about using Fresnel Shaders to simulate the effect of fuzzy-looking materials, like suede, velvet, or peach fuzz. It can even be used to simulate Sub surface scattering for skin materials. Is there a way to do this in Blender? Here's a link to better describe what...
