Whatever is needed in the api, in the code, so that plugin authors can have formats being exported with the extra UV channel and lightmaps asigned... for games... If this is already in in some build, excuse me... It just would be gre...

vertex weight fix. Actually I calculate it as the average # of the amount of bones affecting the vertex. So, you don't take the weight set up by the artist but an average for the bones? like a 50%(ie, 2 bones afecting shoulder vertices) ...emm...well... ..is hard to output good human organic bendin...

And well, even not being a Blender fanatic, but just a 3D fanatic, I personally like more Blender UI (though i...

there's an addon at softimage site, to import x files. Supposedly, that one imports weights, bones and animation. I tested the exporter of x for xsi work well. You could use Ben Omari's exporter of x format for blender, and import into xsi with x format. A longer way could be use certain x importer ...

One last note: There are several flavours of md2, md3 exporters. I personally use Bob's latest md2 exporter, and try to keep it up to date. The md3 one is mor ecomplex...as I tend to dig for other continued versions of the md3 exporter. But this is just fo rmy perosnal kind of projects. But, while th...

Hi I am planning to use Blender to produce 3d models and distribute commercially but to do so would need to include .3ds, .x, .md2 models with my 3d engine. What you cannot use is ID Software tools fo rproducing the md2, md3, bsp. If you use em, yup, if you don't distribute as GPL with all source c...

very cool :)

I am interested too, in any move done in the non- need-of bake for all the constraints :) , but the fact is that as is, any fully advanced character animation can be done with total accuracy, thanks to the plugin's mature state. 8)
