Was talking to Ton and he actually thinks Python can fit into the Blender events system- so python would be able t ohit buttons and press keys- ... interesting. Well collection and application of the events is one thing.. I think it would be good to also be able to collect useful information about ...

update

I had a bunch of source code that had missing datestamps so I'm using a revision control system to determine which source code package is more up to date.. I will Open those sources.. Again, the source code is very simple, so don't expect a tremendous volume of great stuff... Its like maybe a weeks ...

Hmmm

Maybe someone could put it on something like winamp's nullsoft TV server .. Its probably too much to ask for a blender streaming video server, but I've seen a lot of eurodemo channels in winamp's "media library" section under "Internet TV". To encode NSV, you need NSVenc: http://forums.winamp.com/sh...

Hmm.. I was just wondering, and you're more than welcome to flame me for not reading up on this, but does Blender and/or Crafter and/or Yafray utilize GLSL? It's a great language, easy to use, and a pretty decent standard. Sorry.. This is not a flame.. I'm sure the language you have here is quite n...

bfvietnam, the yafray shader language is already made - take a look over at www.yafray.org, in their wiki, and try downloading crafter and making some test XML files. I get the feeling you're wanting to re-invent the wheel... Yeah that's text based, but I'm talking graph-based languages.. How many ...

There's basicly a hardcoded class derived from a base material block class, that's implemented for each type of material block, in YafRay. A material block does it's math by asking it's children to give their output. These children at their turn ask their children for their output, until the tree e...

Wrote a long reply and removed it..

I didn't want to have too many messages over running the site.. But I think this idea has been kicking around a lot ever since Maya got mel but I think implementing somethhing like Maya's mel is a little bit of a mistake.. Some of the reasons why: I. the way mel is made it is closely hitched with Ma...

How about a material compiler..

( if this is too long, I can reduce it to a paragraph.., this the problem with trying to funnel ideas, sometimes it requires a bit of understanding, but my motivation in the following is to come up with a method of making shaders, and possibly other stuff with a visual, yet easy to understand, langu...

Wouldn't work (besides being evil)

easy: just code a little piece of spyware into blender, and send location to blender.org! Where is AOL's servers? I don't think that would be dependable. I would think most blender users work offline anyhow. There is a side to this software that would allow user driven documentation.. Its what I or...

Maybe I didn't see the example fully that you pointed me too, it was too text-oriented for me.. I'm ta...

Yeah a little like that..

Something like that but I think it could be more precise.. Having people yell out where they are from and such is okay if youa re good at geography, but you can't easily communicate where a bunch of people are in a few seconds than visually with a map. I mean would you rather see 10,000 addresses or...
