Re: Fictive inquiry about Blender
Hello everyone, next to using Blender in a game project at school, we also have to think of improvements for Blender, both on UI as technical improvements and new added features. To be able to make some kind of fictive marketing plan we wanted to hold a little inquiry. Keep in mind : these improvem...

better explanation may be needed.
Hi bfvietnam - Your idea may well be better than mine, though I must admit I have never worried (even contemplated) that a Python script could be malicious (though I realise it is possible). The thing is I am nowhere near good enough to code something as complicated as an agent :? If you can make a...

Yeah good job ont he testamonial..
I came to use blender myself because Alias/Wavefront made it impossible for me to obtain a package I had learned, by stopping selling license keys for the package.. I then began to see how evil license keys are.. I'm learning Maya now mostly to have something to put on the resume and maybe to salvag...

Donchya Wish..
I've been learning Maya, its got a nice client based search engine, in the Learning Edition that is.. But it doesn't answer the questions that are most relevant. Like where is there a feature like _____ in blender in maya? The only reason I'm learning it is for prospect of future work with companies...

Map Old -> Map New; why is it gone?
I guess this got removed a ways back, but the newer versions of blender just seem to make this impossible now.. It was one feature of blender that really stood apart from other packages, like Maya which is stuck with frame-based keyframing, blender is the only animation package I know that has this ...

Re: Workaround for ATI GUI slowdown
Just extract that file (atioglxx.dll) to your Blender install directory. Usually C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\ Launch Blender.... no more slowdown. :D Yeah this is working for me, it seems.. And its a lot better than reinstalling or switching drivers.. The link you gave to ATI's webs...

Ah yes agents..
I hope this clarifies my ideas. Some more of my thoughts are here: http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=21672#21672. . Thanks for the input and I assume you are interested in this idea then. :D Koba Yeah this is an idea I've had for a while, but the concept I h...

To Emilio Aguirre
I think the name sflender is hard to remember, you could try "swindler" or "shaker", whereas a blender is used or sometimes a shaker (or both?) when mixing drinks. I was also thinking what the words shockwave and blender have in common.. Schaker is a better name for it, its the name of the coolest g...

Awesome dude. Except.......... there's a problem, it dosn't export a file anywhere :| Appears to work perfectly except for that. I'm on 2.33a btw. Note it says on the page it doesn't work with 2.33a It would crash on mine, but when I tried 2.28a it worked.. I haven't got to the stage where the SWF ...

Umm I would not expect this to be the case..
Blender had a ways back about 300,000 unique hits.. I know of at least one person who uses blender, and a few who would like to use blender.. But don't know anyone who uses 3D packages regularly.. The entire 3D industry is down teh tubes pretty much. The only part that is still alive is for the desi...

Another idea..
How about this: 1. make a standard header for python scripts (for blender) to specify dependencies, the author, the author's website, etc. 2. make a standard way of looking for the scripts in blender, blender knows several things when it was compiled: Operating System, Blender Version Number, Blend...

BTW Firebird is functionally better than IE..
I was forced to use Firebird because IE on my machine will not work anymore, for some strange reason it can't connect to the net, so I downloaded firebird, and strangely, its better than IE and its essentially a stripped down version of Mozilla which is awful compared to IE. Firebird also lets you d...

Firfox can't be used to download web 3D plugin..
I was trying to download the web plugin with firebird, which is an offshoot of mozilla which is an offshoot of netscape. I figured it should work, but it doesn't initiate a download.. So I had to extract the link from the HTML source. I'm also wondering that since the Gameblender release is availabl...

Whatever happened to flip about closest axis?
I had noticed that the S key x,y flip was changed to M key with a popup menu. Its a nice feature however it has one major problem, and it may just be that I'm wierd or something.. But I preferred to flip about a relative axis to the current view.. It doesn't do that with View-X,Y,Z etc.. It flips ab...
