Re: hmmm

I';ve said it before and I'll say it again, the reason you guys don't have enough coders is the codebase, its all in C. You can't very easily divide responsibility with a procedural-centric language., it can only be done with objects. You may have said it once before, you were wrong then and you ar...

hmmm

There are two ways to interpret a close nit development team: 1. close nit to keep details low, simplify the design, keep it directed, less featuritis. 2. codebase wouldn't allow it as such, thus reliance on CVS. I';ve said it before and I'll say it again, the reason you guys don't have enough coder...

Yeah I was beginning to wonder myself..

Because one of the early popular games for PS was Mortal Kombat. That
was at least 1996. I recall that Ton was doing some stuff with Amiga's in the late 80s, some tests?

Re: Turntable view rotation

stuff Gamers or game developers tent to like turntable, nothing wrong with that. I guess because they are used to such camera's in the games they play and develope. Sorry if this generalizes a bit to much. Yeah that would make sense, but its amazing that more games don't use a blender navigation sy...

Yes, we all now NURBS tools in Blender are nothing more than a toy. And, as far as I know, the NURBANA integration is one of the most wanted feature for Blender by users. Personally speaking, I can't wait to see it nicely integrated in the bf tree. Well Ton told me a ways back that it was just some...

Re: Yeah

Evidently Twingy is the Author, I did a search on google.. The one who did the 3D models on that page ( http://www.3drender.com/nurbana/ ) is Jeremy Birn (tech director at Pixar), not Justin here (unless he has a dual personnality ;) ). Martin Did I say anything about that? Sometimes your posts sou...

He's using vertex coloring..

What do you expect? Its not a render engine level effect..
But it would be suitable for animation like those "living plastic"
creatures in the recent episode of Dr. Who (2005).

trick to security on php

use session cookies, store only one id on the clientside, make it unique and large (seed it with the clock). Use it only to identify the user's data on the serverside.. Don't use multiple id's on the clientside.. With www.blender.org I can tell you use PHPNuke, Mysql, and one cookie I saw is storing...

Re: Turntable view rotation

This request has been beaten to death in the forums. I've downloaded the latest CVS source and have a working build environment. Unless there is a huge objection, I'd like to implement the turntable view rotation where there is no roll to the camera. It would seem that most users use Trackball view...

I like very much the webplugin, but... To be popular, the webplugin must run on the major web browsers, operating systems, and he need a good comunication with php. P.D: Sorry for my poor english. To get PHP integration, just use WDDX or SOAP. As for the browser support, I really wouldn't know what...

Evidently Twingy is the Author, I did a search on google.. He just
hasn't released the sources.. It was in 2003 that he had claimed to
have already donated the sources to blender..

http://sourceforge.net/projects/nurbana/ Lord knows blender needs it.. Parametric curves in blender serve more for construction than for a working model. Also while you guys are at it, change the curve and surface primitives for blender so that a surface primitive looks more like a flat plane and le...

Let's not discuss bfvietnam writting style. He's been told before that long posts with many (personal) opinions are hard to follow (even by native english speakers). Or not interesting to follow 'cause the reader does not gain enough by reading them. Most people who don't get anything from reading ...
