Did you took a look at current cvs? Most probably your effect will have to enter in the modifier stack. I am currently working just to create a demo. When the design has stabalised a bit I will port it to a more updated version of blender and then I will have a look at the current codebase. This wo...

Here is some good news: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v199/simonharvey/ModBlender2.jpg It now compiles, and the new splash screen drawing code works correctly (so far anyway). As you can see the alpha transpearancy and text will need to be tweaked and ModBlender will need to be debugged (I have ...

What about my other thought? That is, switchable running modes so that users could have *only* hotkeys/mouse menus for a UI. Is this a good idea or even feasible? I dont quite get what you are getting at: Blender has both hotkeys and mouse menus but is enhanced by having both accessable at the same...

Well, that was quite a post... Blender is closly tied into ots UI meaning that any UI library change will mean big changes in the codebase. An example of a file can be shown here: http://projects.blender.org/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/blender/source/blender/src/buttons_object.c?rev=1.87&cvsroot=bf-blender&...

Hello
Blender.org is mainly for blender development, below is a link that you can follow to get to a site for blender artists:

Your FPS is probably a bug, you might have to submit a bug report.

Well here is a bit of an update: I have moved the structure definitions back to the module-core.c file and in doing so found that it was my prototypes that were busted (causing the storage class error) so now that that has been completed we can now move on to finish the rest of the compile time erro...

I am going away on a week long church camp so I wont be able to do any hacking on the code.

I have decided to move the guff from the headers back to the C source files (Any header stuff can be done in the future).

I trust that you will all have a good week.

Kind Regards

Because the computer that I use for the internet and the computer that I develop on are not the same (seperated by about 4km) I have had to recite this from memory, so there will be m...

Third to keep in mind that a plugin system for Blender cannot be made "commercial" with closed source, only GPLed code is allowed to be a plugin in Blender. I doubt it will become an incentive for third parties to make commercial Blender extensions with GPL only. Is this really true? Plug-ins are n...

Hey Simon I was just wondering if you where still working on the C/C++ plugin system?? Hi, I have currently had a look at tutorials that others have written for Maya and 3D Studio Max to get an idea of their plugin structures and also what the acceptable "plugin-code-untidyness" is. I have decided ...
