Re: Landscapes

Yes with a script that helps you create terrain (not with Bryce options however).

Check on Wizards ANT-Landscape.

Wouldn't it be better to have this page linked to the blender site instead of this?

Previewing for game scenes

For some reason setting the draw type of a 3d view to textured only shows the obsolete uv texture from the uv view and doesn't use materials which is the way Blender game engine works now by default. Could you guys change this so that textured drawtype will draw objects on the 3d view with Blender m...

There's an easy trick that always works for me (i have an ATI card too). After using P to run the game engine it must reset the OpenGL driver internal state and Blender speed gets back to normal.

Re: Video Tutorial request - a gothic arch in Blender

You could do it this way. Add this picture as the background of one of your views. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ab/Coupe.cathedrale.Amiens.png Then add a bezier curve on top of it and manipulate so that it's curve fits with the image above (you only need one half of the arch). Whe...

I want to morph facial expressions by having different versions of the important parts around the face then morph/stitch it into a full face. Having an integer id per vertex being shared among different meshes is one way to associate vertexes between different meshes.

Associating an id to a vertex

Is there any way to associate a unique id to a vertex, in a way that it doesn't get lost when we edit the vertexes (unless they are deleted)?

Blender Interactive and Localized Documentation

I had this idea after reading that the Blender GUI upgrade will have something similar to Nendo and their great interactive tutorials that use the program interface in a pre-scripted way to show how it works. Interactive documentation would work like Nendo. When a tutorial is playing the user sees a...

My poin is that it should be more "new-user friendly". Don't get me wrong. I actually think that the use of shortcuts is actually a great feature of interface, but what I find really annoying is that I have to look for this shortcuts through the entire manual. You don't have to do this. The menus i...

You're totally saying that current interface is kind of crap but in a nicer way and I totally agree with you. Especially for the elitist point. Look what we got for not agreeing with the troll holy truth the first time we had a chance. Now he is going to stink this thread calling people names and d...

Did you noticed how the new Vista interface is becoming closer to Blender interface ideals. From my observation and what i have read in papers these ideals are: 1) Avoid overlapping and floating windows as much as possible. 2) Have a consistent and easy to memorize set of keyboard shortcuts. 3) Allo...

Congratulations. I remember we tried to use this engine on my first attempt at a Daggerfall remake about 5 years ago. It has evolved a lot since then.

Can we program in C# with this engine? Some people told me they would be interested in doing a game with it if they could program in that language.

Amazing work man. I find it hard to believe someone could come up with this with Blender (i guess i don't understand much about Blender source ;) ). A load/save scheme would definitly come in handy and if i may sugest "black boxes" as way to hide circuits inside a box and exposing only the "black bo...

What do you mean with a pipeline editor ? Are you actualy representing objects like RenderMesh as visual elements, a sort of visual programming ?
