Hi, there is no mod for Blender, Blender is Blender and 3dsMax is 3dsMax. Both have their own way and workflow. Hi hideki, I got the same problem but it get fixed using the Omega Drivers instead of official Ati drivers: http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php These drivers much faster and work perfect with games and of course with Blender. Just 2 things for installation: - multires isn't needed most time...

Most features are X3D compatible which is a successor of VRML. Basic texture and material features are VRML kompatible too.
I'm working on an update which willl be available soon.

With Blender 2.41 we have GLSL Shader for the game engine which is quite fine. So i thought about GLSL shaders in general and collected some stuff from other 3d apps:

New file format specs incl. 3ds format infos

I updated the MediaWiki and add a lot of informations about spec of file formats.
There are several links about the 3ds file format now too:

May someone like to improve 3ds support again :)

Updated Feature Proposal

Hello developers, thanks for the 2.4 release of Blender which brings a lot of new features and improvements. So i started updating my feature proposal (not complete yet) and saw many, many things comes true! Thanks again. I reworked the chapter about wireframe rendering too and added a screen for it...

Jep, it's not GPLed. But i'am very happy that Bitmanagement released it for free+docs :)
