You already have got two options:
- Bake it into the texture (as you mentioned). Works well for static but not for moving objects.
- Write a dynamic ambient occlusion shader using GLSL. Look here to see how you apply GLSL shaders on objects: http://download.blender.org/documentati ... lender.htm

I may have to convert it into a mesh to extrude it, per someone else suggestion. I would like to make a crown that I traced in illustrator. I want to extrude the path and then curve it a little around the y-axis. Yes, that person is right. For that purpose I also would suggest the same: Convert it ...

if your meticulous with your visems then this tool could potentially make a perfect lipsync Errrrr... No. ;) There's a reason behind why there is a trend towards virtual acting - meaning capturing the facial expressions (and not only motion capturing): Lip syncing means a lot of work and automatic ...

Though this would be a really cool feature, which could be realized more or less easily (at least basic function) using Python and a speech recognition tool for getting the phonemes, I think that you are putting too much hope in it: Usually those animations don't look good enough and require quite a...

What are the advantages of blender over truespace? Well, "advantages" sometimes are also just personal preferences. But for me one advantage would be that modelling "flows" better in Blender. Another would be that the screens and scenes management in Blender is very flexible. Drawback: Blender is h...

You know I am still having trouble with the import. The path is importing, but when I try to modify it or extrude it, the path gets scrambled up. By this I mean it starts out as a path of a crown, then particularly when I begin to extrude it in edit mode, it turns into a bunch of lines and I cannot...

Re: Trouble with extrude b2.47
Anyone else having troubles with extrude in blender 2.47? My verteces seem to go all directions except the right one. I had something similiar but was only the retopo tool activated. Don't know why it was activated in my default .blend. Probably because it originated from an older version. I don't ...

Yes, of course. In the editing window (F9) there are three buttons which allow you to center the pivot point ("center new" in "object mode"), arrange the mesh/ curve around the pivot point that it stays in the center (center) or set the pivot point where you want using the cursor (center cursor). Pl...
