Blender to Yafray documentation

Although Blender has a very reasonable documentation online, and Yafray has fairly good online documentation for itself, the documentation about transition between Blender and Yafray -- despite both software having been integrated -- is very very lacking. I know Eeshlo had posted a thread here about...

That would be a very neat tool for Blender users who prefer Yafray over the internal renderer. :D

For those who don't know what Crafter is:
Click here for the Crafter website
It's basically a material creator for Yafray and Virtualight.

Gallery breakdown

Just a little suggestion about the blender3d.org gallery. It would be nice to differentiate between images created using Blender's internal renderer, and Yafray. So visitors can actually see the different capabilities offered by the two renderers. Previously, I recall there being two sections of the...

Blender Crash on system information: 1) Start with a clean blender 2) Switch one of the windows to a text-editor window 3) Enter "Help/System/System information Blender would now crash instantly. (at least on my Windows 2000-sp4 / 2 Gb / Xp2800+/Nvidia 5900) Yep, reproduced it on my computer too (W...

Does the 0.0.7 pre-release build also work with this Blender build? I'm using the 0.0.7 pre-release build of Yafray, and it (Blender and Yafray) crashes when I try to use Yafray in plugin mode.

Exporting to xml works fine, however.

I was just going to ask about when the official pre-2.34 release will be coming out. Thanks Gabio, and all contributors. :D

I've been using Gabio's build (22 July), and it works perfectly with my ATI Radeon 9600XT.

Prior to that, I've been using the opengl dll file from Cat 3.8.

All the stuff you mentioned can be done already, but not graphically. For example, to move a point in the X-axis, you press G then X, which will grab-move (G) along the X-axis (X) only. Same thing with scale (S then whatever axis letter -- X/Y/Z), and rotate (R then whatever axis to rotate around --...

I'm talking about Blender as it is now. Of course, as Blender improves, it will get more and more competitive. In 10 years time, who knows if we'll see Blender win an Academy Award for technical achievement. :D But remember that other software packages also improve. Blender improves in small increme...

The thing is I cant see a difference. Ok I have not Lightwave for myself, but a mate does. Try to make this nice Walkthrough Demo in Lightwave (blender download page). Does one need to shrink the Hard Drive around 350 Megs for this? Size matters. The smaller the better I think. It also increases ov...
