Yafray xml button

In the Blender-Yafray plugin integrated CVS builds, what does the "xml" button in the Yafray render options actually do?

I've tried to render with the button depressed, and the program crashes/freezes. Is it supposed to generate the xml document for use by Yafray?

I believe someone posted a build on Testing Builds forum that includes the ATI slowdown fix for Windows.

ATI has such apparent disinterest in Blender that they sent us a handful of nice graphic cards. Way to go, ATI! I was talking about priorities, not interest. Commercial software will have higher priority than open-source or non-profit sotware like Blender. Perhaps Blender has reached the top of the...

As I said, my experience with OpenGL programming is limited. Last I used OpenGL for software development, I used MS Visual C++. Since I KNOW OpenGL can be used with C++, that's what I've posted. I didn't want to tell him he can use C, only for him to be disappointed later. Hang on, I'm just checking...

The 3D industry is down the tubes because there are too many "artists" and too little work. It is the same with most arts. The main drive behind 3D graphics has been photorealism... both for feature films and games. But feature films now have very little more to prove in that regard. Games still hav...

Sorry, I made a mistake in my last post. OpenGL needs C++. I have only fleeting experience with OpenGL programming. You'll need to find exactly what sort of OpenGL toolkits and utilities the Blender development team uses. As far as I know, OpenGL doesn't actually do ray-tracing or global-illuminatio...

My question then is, is OPENGL run on C, Or C++? And wich one should I learn, as C++ looked different form what I read, something about low level code is more complex while faster comparied to C being a mid level base being faster to code but slow to implement. And the weirdest one of all was Direc...

I don't think Blender is anywhere near the top of the "todo" list for ATI. Purely in terms of number of users, Blender is just not worth the time looking after. There are probably less than 10,000 regular Blender users around the world. On the other hand, the number of gamers, and users of professio...
