Usable animation tools AND more modelling improvements!?!

Some very nice features in this version! The modifier system looks very promising. Armatures are also much friendlier to work with. One feature I read about a while ago that suprised me was the ability to set the secondary transformation axis. This is a super nice option while modelling. Both normal...

IMO one of the oddest and yet most useful features in Wings is how it treats contiguous vs. non-contiguous selections. If you select a bunch of elements that form an island then whatever operation you perform will work on the group as if it was one thing. If however you select two islands then each ...

Very good proposals! These are many of the issues that keep me going back to Wings3d. BTW have you used the Wings3d connect tool? I think this is the optimal behavior for the knife tool. You are allowed to start at any vert or edge and from there you can connect to any other vert or edge in any poly...

B-bones

I might have missed something in the log, but subdivided b-bones are acting wierd when rotated in pose mode. I created an armature with a few segments and turned on b-bones, entered pose mode, selected a bone and raised its subdivision to 3. When I rotate the bone now the first segment rotates corre...

I've had a peek at your code and I like this module very much! This is a much nicer and more pythonic interface to mesh objects. Besides making it simpler to work with Blender mesh data there is also a lot of utility packed in there. There are a couple tricks I would add to make it more user friendl...

First of all I believe that this post should have been made on Elysiun.com, not here. Since this is the developers forum I would assume that this subforum is for discussing Blender Python (Bpy) development, not developing with python... Anyway this sounds like a great exercise for the new space hand...

Small workflow request

Short Summary: Ctrl-LMB should work for all modes (vert, edge, face) and for multipule selections. Default behavior for multiple selection should be extrude region (or edges where appropriate). I realize the focus of Blender development is moving from modelling to animation, but I would like to make...

I just wanted to say the new transform widgets are great, especially the normal option! Two comments though: Currently the y-axis arrow is always on top with the x bellow and the z on the bottom, this isn't noticable unless you rotate the view so the z arrow should be above one of the others. Second...

I just spent a few minutes testing out the transform stuff and I really like the new axis display. I tested grab, rotate, scale in object and edit mode and everything worked as I expected it to. I have one suggestion though, I believe it would make more sense/be more useful if in edit mode local axi...

Memory leak?

I'm just starting to play around with the Blender game engine and I found something slightly disturbing. I made a simple test with four cubes arranged along the x axis. I added a "mouseover&mouseclick -> IPO ping pong" which changed one cubes color. I also added an "always (once) -> python (show_cur...

To me it would make more sense to create another file rather then merge the existing ones. The new file could be called just EnvelopeSuite.py and you could put the ui code for calling the other modules in there. This would keep the messy ui code seperate from the functionality and would make it nice...

Does it work with Blender versions later then 2.31? Could I use it with the latest cvs? The comment that it is only for Blender 2.31 is the primary reason I have not downloaded it in the past. That and the size of the modules it requires (wx).

unfortunatly this will not be very easy but it is possible. This is what I came up with. I tried to get this to select the connected verts but it doesn't seem to work with the CVS version I'm using... First making the quad: from Blender import * scene = Scene.GetCurrent() obj = Object.New('Mesh','co...
