Well I think it's annoying but it doesn't get me angry :D

if you select select-->Stick local UV’s to mesh vertex and then save your user prefs will it remember this option?

When Microsoft developed dos there was no Blender. :) Only in the kitchen. But you are right, a horse has four legs, but not everything with 4 legs is a horse. because you have to have a savvy opengl card to run opengl programs, while with directx your video card doesnt have to be that great. packages other than 3DS Max have much more elegant solutions to this problem

Works fine on my SUSE 10 box with Nvidia 6600 card.

Same glitches as the windows version.

It seems much faster thans the windows version.....
