mailing list archives

It looks like the mailing list archives aren't updated anymore. I'm always interested in following blenders developement, so how can I read the bf-blender-cvs etc... without having to read everything through e-mail?

&= and |= follow the (Operator)= standard. Meaning that X &= 5 is the same as X = X & 5 (like *=, +=, -=, /= and %=). Martin I understand what an operator followed by '=' means, but I still don't understand what the logic operators actually do. I knew you can use the in for example an if-statement,...

I have another small question. It's a syntax question, but I can't find the answer in the books I've tried, and I can't find anything about it in tutorials I found through google... There's this line of code : else if(evl->e3->f & 16){ noface=0; evl->e3->f &= ~16; 1) In the first line : what does th...

I hope nowbody minds if I ask a question in this thread too. I would like to know if there's basic documentation on (all) the structures found in makesdna (or other directories). For example : typedef struct EditEdge { struct EditEdge *next, *prev; struct EditVert *v1, *v2, *vn; short f,h; short f1,...

I made a new render, and it worked this time. I don't have a clue what caused the error.

That's weird because in the render buttons the file format is set to .tga. And This problem only appears when using yafray.

this is the 'corrupted' file. I can only read it through some standard microsoft app...

and this is the resaved version which can be opened in photoshop

When I've finished rendering, and then save ('F3') the image as .tga, photoshop can't read it. The file also looks very small compared to normal tga-sizes.
I can open it in a different program however, resave it as tga, adn then I can open it in photoshop. But this is a bit unhandy most of the times.

I totally agree with wavk. Python only gives you headaches with such complex scripts.
Yable does a good job, but it is way to limited for more complex things like shader creating. Hardcoding it CAN provide better solutions (eg crafter)

Just another small question, just out of curiosity. When compiling, I have about 750 warnings. How are they caused, and how can I get rid of them? (I don't like warnings, I like a clean build)

Well, here's my first experiment with the source, nothing fancy, it's quite stupid and unuseful actually, but I'll post it anyway :D
