I wrote a skin tool a while back that does this, It can even do multiple Poly lines too- (Lofting) It can also skin/bridge/loft between Vert loops of varying sized, with 2 methods for findingh the best fit. nice looking good so far this is realy a big improvement for meshediting.
when will there be an update, as its quite buggy? forget adding new features just make the existing ones stable they are usefull as is.

the extrude function doesnt work just does a grab

press e then try to extrude just the choosen face move no new one is created i like the addition to the transform with mmb. in max you can easily make a duplicate by holding the shift key while transforming maybe such can be implemented too? under mesh tools cant there also be a button for straight ...

Maybe it will be wise to make some buttons allowing you to flip the colors of the normal map to fit some weird standards? It will make Blender more self-supporting. i tried to get a thread going to this build as you can see before but the moderator locked it up twice glad to see you now succefully got a thread to that build . Why they locked mine is beyond me ,maybe they don't want windows blender to be faster that there macs :P might it be possible to do a yaf...

some one compiled 2.33 with intels compiler (free for one month) and gained a 100% speed increase, now i wanna test 2.34 version maybe hyperthreading optimized too :) any one did this already or willing too much obliged in advance
