I've thought about this problem several times. Some laptops have a key that you can press+hold so that you can type as if you are using a numpad. You could also just get a usb numpad and carry that around with you. Recently, someone over at the blenderartists forum posted a python script that drew a...

Just wanted to note that I've also got this problem. It might just be one stray pixel set to the colour of the alpha colour around the sphere too. :)

Looking around, I found that you could use strcpy.

For example:
strcpy(data->myvar, "")

Have I got this right? That's the way the subtarget value is set in blender/source/blender/src/buttons_object.c

Assigning value to variable of type char

Hi,

What should be assigned to a variable that is of type char?

This might be the wrong part of these forums to be posting this...

Anyway, have you checked whether the button to toggle only selecting visible vertices/edges/faces is on or off. If it is on, then this is definately a bug, but if it is off then that is the new default IIRC.

When you say popping, are you meaning that the knee flips to a position that is totally opposite what it was before? If so, have you got any rotation limits on the joints in the armature? Some settings on the bones in the leg might fix this. As for the lagging issue. I remember reading a bug report ...

Wrong place to post this.

Go to the world settings in the material buttons. Change the colour from black to whatever you want.

Storage of Options

Hi, I was wondering how extra data could be stored in a blend file. The situation I'm referring to is when the user defines some settings that need to be stored for a constraint written in python. How would this storage be done? Would it be similar to the way texture and sequence plugins store their...

Transform Option or Constraint

Hi,

I was wondering whether limiting the transforms of an object would be better as a constraint or as part of the transform code.

Transform code would mean that it is enforced, while a constraint could be overridden by another constraint following it.

Am I on the right track here?

Most likely the OSX version hasn't been updated since that change was made.

ChrisGarrett: 'Unified render' no longer exists in blender. It was supposedly quite buggy too.

The /tmp\ dir thingy... there always seem to be fixes for these path problems, but the problem keeps coming back. Anyway, it's not really a big problem as it works fine.
