I understand how to do it now, but I still think it would be nice to have a more direct way to save a .blend file with just the material information.

I guess what I was thinking is that you have a button right there in the material buttons to save/load just that material to a seperate file. it doesn't matter if it's .blend, .mat, .tex, or whatever you want to make it. I hope I'm making sense, mabe I just don't know enough about blender.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who likes to reuse stuff like good textures in other models, and this would make it a lot easier.

Request: Material save/load feature

Ok, mabe this idea has already been thought of, but I think it would be nice if there was a way to save a material to a seperate file, so that it can be used in another model, without having to use append, and find the material.

I'm having boolian problems!

Ok, here's the deal, I'm making a chess set, and when trying to make the rook, I made the profile, and was then going to cut out the parts of the top using boolian operations. Every time I try it tells me "an internal error occored -- sorry!" what might I be doing wrong, or is this a bug? also, the ...

Quicktime Problems

for the last 2 versions, I've been compiling the sources from hand instead of using the gentoo ebuilds, and every time I enable with quicktime it doesn't build.

I'm building on gentoo linux-2.6.7-r16 with kde 3.3 and x.org 6.8.0

I recently decided to build blender off of cvs so I could get blender 2.35 early. I made a little script that builds blender from cvs using scons, and they notifys you when it's done. I also made a kde crystal-svg style blender-cvs icon for those of us who like to keep both the stable and the cvs ve...
