I have to say that I had no intention of the wish list post to get so huge. And I don't like what became of the thread, so I have not even looked at it in a year. Things I don't want in Blender: -Clone of "X" 3d modeler. -An Undo, just because of all the whiners!!! -Integrated or (God forbid) replac...

I know that Blender-dot-org was not ment to be an "artist site", I think many people miss the old blender-dot-nl site and want that community back (myself included). I don't know how smart it is to draw lines between coders, real-time engine users and artists. The reason why I can post this message ...

I voted change...

I think Blender is amazing, and the interface is part of that opinion. After three books and countless hours I finally have a clue what I am doing. But, that was when NaN held it and there was not time or money to consider the interface. Now Blender is open, and many eyes can look and change the cod...

I think it looks great!

you have my vote to add it to the CVS! Even not, you can send the patch to the guy doing FunBlender...

Oh yeah, did you see a performance hit?

Not to be picky, but without nit-picking a wish list gets silly FAST.. -character dynamics -the nla stuff which is described in the nan developer docs -shadows for all types of lamps ==>can be faked but RIB support will make this a possibility.. -built-in export support for renderman, lightflow and y...

Wish List (it had to be done)

It had to be done, a wish list had to be made... Here are a few items I'd like to see: -Integrated support for external renderers (BMRT, POV-RAY, etc). -Backface Culled mesh editing (similar to Wings). -Selfish addition: a alternate compile that omits all the game engine stuff. PS: Blender 2.25 fixe...

I miss the "old" community. I'd like to see that here, elysiun is not the same. I am glad it was there when NaN was crashing, but I want the old Blender forums back (B@rt where are you?)

Nikolista20 (? is that the name) got the windows version to compile, quite nicely. The game stuff does not work well yet (but I'm only here to render anyhow  ) I think people should cool off, there was a lot they had to do to release this code. Welcome to open source people, if you don't do it...

nikolatesla20 did it! Install the full version of python 2.0 and you can run his binary.

The game stuff does not work, but the issues I had with version 2.23 are all fixed.

Grrreat Job!!

WOW That works soooo well! You ROCK!! Great effort! It also is nice to have an official Blender web site back, I can feel the community coming back already! There are soo many bug fixes too, the menus and toobars don't have issues with my NVIDIA drivers anymore! I can maximize across both monitors!...
