Yes, sorry, my laptop is down! As soon as I get it back, I'll do a fresh rebuild. Sorry for not posting sooner!

Thanks a lot for the support! :D Lately I've been extremely busy (student  ), but over the weekend I'll do some updating.

Sorry for not elaborating. The build is optimized for both Intel and AMD CPUs so long as they support SSE2.

I've posted a new build on graphicall.org. This build now uses SSE2, so your processor must support it in order to run Blender. This is the fastest build I've made yet, though. The test.blend (included) I rendered with the normal build from blender.org and got 08:07.98. But with this build it took 0...

.net framework... And how cross-platform will that be?
The .NET framework is just the Windows overlay for the application that will be used, which will be cross-platform.

Yes, there will be an executable that probably uses .net framework to access the server and update, although I can't gaurantee it. The patches work fine though, I tried them out. So long as you apply it to the exact same build it was created from, it should work just fine.

Would anyone benefit...?

I was just wondering, would anyone benefit if I offered a build, but then offered incremental binary patches to that build? They would typically be < 1.0 megabyte. This could ease the strain on dial-up users so they don't have to download a 5.4 meg .zip every time they want the latest and greatest. ...

I think Ton is working on all of that right now. They are going to integrate that as well as the new interface that Matt Ebb designed. This build is really pre-preliminary.

No, this is a clean CVS build. If it's not in the CVS, it isn't in this build.

2.40 pre-release alpha1 / Windows

This is an unofficial build of the pre-release alpha1 for BF-Blender 2.40. Although it isn't an official release, consider this 2.40 with a few bugs left to work out. Any bugs should be reported to the tracker. Also, I will posting a Windows optimized build for the alpha1 real soon, so check back. A...

Go to the testing builds forum and download a current build. Those are basically 2.40 with a few more bugs than the release will have.
