Hello macouno. Seamless integration is a good way to process the data, but there's only one thing stuck in the middle. Muse in not a renderer only for Blender. Muse is a renderer aimed to all the software capable to export .rib files. But, as I said before, seamless integration is not something that...

The way to process data between Blender and Muse is still in development. There are several ways to do that. Seamless integration with Blender is a possibility. Another one is providing a bridge ( such as Liquid does with Maya ) allowing you to output to Muse.

Joeri, now you have make me confuse  . Where have you read that Muse can't read Rib files? Rib is the files that Muse will read. Muse implements all of the RenderMan API calls and RIB requests. Concerning OpenEXR, I think that you can already see something about that subject at Muse website h...

Hello Zarf. Thank you for your 2cents in this subject. Muse will be a robust renderer, and the rendering quality will be the main characteristic of Muse. That's why I have decided not to release Muse untill it can be alredy capable of producing images with a good quality standard. I cannot give you ...

Gendou, all the comments are apreciated. I am not looking for any comment in specific, but I only want that Blender users tell me what characteristics they want to see implemented in Muse. Zarf, I also think that Muse is a fine name :D .

I'm glad that lucky3 and Pablosbrain have been able to see my point. I am not involved in the development of any other renderers. Muse will feature some specifications of his own that that are not available in the other renderers that are refered. Gendou, I think that you are the one who is missing ...

Hello gendou. My main purpose is to develop a good and stable RenderMan compliant renderer. I am sorry, but I will not work in a bridge between Blender and the others renderers that you specified. I intend to provide that bridge between Blender and Muse. Only. I am ready for the challenge of creatin...

Thanks for the opinions. Memory usage is always a great concern. I intend to provide a good rendering speed-quality ratio, but 128megs of ram are very low for a scene with 720megs of texture. Memory usage will always be a concern to Muse Development Team, and we will provide Muse with an efficient g...

Ok, It´s all fine bertram :) . I am just a little bit tired of what some people are writing about Muse. Things like: " There is no point in another GPL RenderMan compliant "; " Why another Open Source Renderer "; " It will never be released "... and that sort of things. They even complain because th...

Muse is a name. Only that. No hidden meanings. What Muse stands for? Well, it's a RenderMan compliant renderer, and more in-depth information can be obtained at the official website. The name Muse is not very unique? Can you tell me why it should be unique? Would be relevant for the project if it ha...

I am aware that spped is a great concern among 3D artists :D . While I want to maintain a good speed-quality ratio in Muse, the rendering quality will be the main characteristic of Muse. But I can already assure you that Muse will be speedy enough.

Hi rednelb. It is no offense of course. Muse is going to settle appart from projects like Aqsis. We are working right now at the core system of Muse. One of the most powerfull features will be the advanced raytracing calculation that Muse will handle. Concerning why, well... people also ask me why m...

Hello there birras. Yes, I am aware of the existence of the other Academy. The reason to start this new Academy is because I intend to provide a very different tipe of learning that the one practicised at other Academy. If you compare the two Academy's you will notice the difference. PixelBox Render...
