If the Blender 2.3 guide sucks, for you, you can always consider helping those people who spend their time in improving this guide every time. As joeri said, being unpolite will not bring you anything. We ALL know what the strong points are and the weak ones.

OpenGL Shading Language

Hi. I'm new to OpenGL Shading Language, so I have some questions of vital interest. I know a driver needs to support GL_ARB_shading_language_100, GL_ARB_fragment_shader and GL_ARB_vertex_shader to be fully GLSL compatible. Is it true? Are this extensions correctly spelled? And what is GL_FRAGMENT_PR...

Try patching your blender with the following patch: http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2362&group_id=9&atid=127 I don't actually have blender building with scons on my systems so if you could test it out and sen...

I know it's a GCC bug. My problem was HOW to generate a correct preprocessed source file.
But I solved the problem myself.
This is the full bug report to GCC developers:

Hi all. Just compiling actual CVS tree with some optimizations (scons + Linux + gcc 4.0.0): There are the used parameters: release_flags = ['-march=athlon-xp', '-O3', '-pipe', '-fomit-frame-pointer', '-ffast-math', '-mfpmath=sse,387', '-msse', '-mmmx', '-m3dnow', '-Wno-unused-parameter'] extra_flags...

What about FTGL integration into the build process?
Actually FTGL (bFTGL) in blender/extern/bFTGL has to be manually configured/installed before international support can be compiled in. And this is not even documented. The main README file is out of dated too.
