Mea Culpa! I fall on my sword. :cry

I picked up this project months ago and got sidetracked because of hardware issues. My new machine is arriving in a few days so I'll be able to devote more time to it!

Thanks, Hos! I've been working on compiling Verse and was working on a makefile of my own but yours is much more elegant. Anyway, if anyone is trying to build Verse on SuSE 8.1, here's what I had to do: 1) I used Hos' makefile 2) You'll see numerous warnings about 'uint' being redefined in vll_heade...

Excellent! Now if I can manage to get it to build, I'll be able to test on RedHat 7.2;8.0; and 9.0 as well as SuSE 8.1.

Eskil, if you want, I can proably provide some Makefiles and packages for binaries (Linux RPMs, etc.) for those releases.

Eskil,

I know you're a busy guy. Just wondering if you had a chance to put the fixes into the verse server yet.

Eskil, I've been trying to compile the new Verse on a SuSE 8.1 machine with no luck. I can't seem to compile any of the source files. I saw in your README.TXT that it needs to be compiled twice, but I can't get past the first pass. :( If I can resolve this, I plan to compile on RedHat and probably D...

projects.bender.org down?

I've been trying to access the projects pages for the last few days from work and I can't seem to get there. :( On my Linux box (running Opera), it keeps presenting me with the page for www.blender.org. My windows machine ( both with I.E and Opera) times out waiting for a response. Maybe it's just m...

Jellybean I'm finally getting around to compiling connector on my Suse 8.1 system. Did you by any chance create a Makefile for all your efforts? I'm just trying to avoid re-creating the wheel (call me lazy). If not, no biggie; I just thought I might be able to save myself some time in building this ...

Jellybean: Thanks for the offer of a binary. I've actually been working on compiling Verse mysef. I'm using a bunch of different distros actually, but I was primarily working on the Suse 8.1 distro. I also plan to build a debian and RedHat version. Based on the latest info in this thread I think I c...
