You are probably mixing this up with Blenders' background rendering method. There's not much we can do with driver problems. BTW, I'm still running build 7100, and it is running Blender smoothly for me on my ATi card.

The black windows sounds supsiciously like the console window we have. Don't close that, since that closes Blender - it *is* Blender.

Dependencies needed by Blender. The installer tells you to get Python and the redistributable runtime libs (the latter is not necessary anymore, forgot to fix the installer for that).
