You could ask the developers of x-plane to look into using custom ID props. These can be used to tag objects, meshes (any ID datablock) with ie. a dataref that has more than 32 characters. The name of ID blocks is limited and not extendable.

In our forums we don't support attachments. You'll have to host the images somewhere and link to them instead.

Blender 2.5 will most likely use Python 3.0. The upcoming 2.49 will be using Python 2.6

Maybe a short message on how you solved it would be nice in case a future user bumps into the same problem.

Have you checked memory usage during the rendering stage? Most of the time this type of crashes during rendering is due to exhausted memory.

Building with scons would be easiest indeed (I maintain the system ;) ) 1) start the visual studio command prompt 2) ensure python is in your path (ie. set PATH=C:\Python26;%PATH%) 3) run 'python scons\scons.py' For 2.5 you should for now turn off gameengine and blenderplayer building. You can get Blender 2.45 to accept Python 2.6 only by building Blender 2.45 from sources and probably with some code modifications. Instead of trying that, wait for the imminent release of Blender 2.49 - it will be built against Python 2.6. To make it even more interesting, the less imminent release...

Is the Jumbo by coincidence one of these? http://news.thomasnet.com/images/large/456/456652.jpg . I think you want to look into armatures and how to parent it to your mesh model of the machine check http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual/Animation/Armatures Although most of the armature goes a...
