pole vector constraint

from what I read "pole vector constraint" is similar to ( in blender ) creating a second IK target for the chain, i.e. for a leg setup, create a "kneeIK" bone and place it in front of the knee, and make an IK constraint from the calf bone to this target. The knee will point at the target. The proble...

actually, I have heard some of the devs talk about moving towards a "live" render preview, which I believe is what You are asking for. It will take time, not a totally trivial change, and there is as Joeri points out, limited resources. However, try "dispwin", "crop" and "border" along with 25% in t...

you realize you can shift-click the edge/vert/face selection buttons in the header, and get to a "all", or perhaps "modeless" option? then selecting the closes element indeed works.

Well, you need to add a new theme, just as before. The default theme is not customisable. icon_smile.gif

on another note, I see that in tuhopuu, you cannot customize the colors of the new theme..... will this be possible at some point?

hehe, funny lukep- I use G gesture about 90% of the time, R and S less- because when I do the gestures for the last two , sometimes I swap 'em. I also like drag selecting in pose mode, to do the "default motion" of the bone. for me gestures when working are like "unconcious blending" pure muscle mem...

hello I hope this is the right place to dump quick impressions of the new interface. I'd say right now it looks nice- a bit of color wouldn't hurt distinguishing the buttons- and still feels like a work in progress. No opinion on the layout changes yet- tuhopuu isn't too usable to me because mouse g...

I'm not sure it needs to wait for a rewrite, though perhaps it could benefit/be more cool flexible with it.
I wonder if a python script could handle this?

using "snap to current frame" can be a boon when working here. I can see where you are coming from- it can be a bit tricky. for instance, if you have a key in the ipo, and want to know what actual frame it lies on , with precision, and without moving it.

Just from the thread, it seems like a lot of discussion is around how things look, and where they are placed (buttons panels, tabs etc...) But I wonder sometime about intangible aspects of interface. For instance: Say I am circle selecting ( b b ( I won't talk about the hotkey itself here)) and I wa...

that would be cool. I've done an import recently from work (pro-e to blender) and a lot of information is lost in the translation.

well, my suggestion would be to make the ground plane a slightly concave dish, so that the edges touch the horizon, Unless your plane is "infinite" it's always going to be slightly wrong. (suppose your texture did wrap spherical, wouldn't the horizon still look weird, meeting the reflection in the u...
