new OSX version!

Hi,

Since its release, the OSX version had a problem with vertex-paint and face-selection. The backbuffer is being used for selection code drawing, which keeps getting swapped at OSX... it seems to originate in the fact that Apple doesn't support frontbuffer drawing (for menus etc).

I've made version which uses the 'Aux' buffer option in opengl, drawing the selection codes in an off-screen buffer.

It works now for the vertex painting. YaY?

But now as I try to uv map an image to it poof crash !
Crash while going through the file select window try to get any images.

fun?

keep tooling at it.

Thanks for the report, but be aware that useful bug reporting comes down to:

- exact instructions how to redo
- verifying with an older blender release if it happens too

I interpret your report as a bug in the ImageSelect window. Use the small grey button next to the salmon-colored "Load" button to get a normal FileSelect window.

I know that. But I like useing the thumb nail view. That is where it crashes.
I have a million trillion files on my desktop. So one of those is supect.

Whatever it works when I test a picture that is not in my desktop.

Works nicely on 10.2.6 on Powerbook 17". This powerbook has fink and the openAL libraries installed for tuhopuu.

Seems a little faster too, but I will test this weekend on my ibook at home.

when i resize a window blender completle freeses and i have to restart.

Always use blender with "thousands of colors" set (system prefs, display). OX itself uses your 3d h/w as well, and doesn't like to share that with Blender.

We're going to put a nice warning in the install for it!

Works much better. Menus and material preview work much faster and smoother. Using 10.2.5 on G3 Ibook with 32mb graphics

That makes sense now. I was really busy this last weekend, and didn't get to do much testing at home (I commute about 300 miles and live in a camper during the week).

This version was unusable, but that was due to the color depth settings. I won't be able to test this machine again till this weekend.
