Mhx import into 2.56a fails

Post by Konstanty » Tue Jan 18, 2011 9:38 pm

I'm running Ubuntu Linux, 10.10, with all current updates. I've installed Blender 256a, which has been running perfectly. And I've installed MakeHuman, the latest nightly build as of today. It seems to be working normally.

Both MakeHuman and Blender seem to be functioning without any unusual behavior. But when I export an .mhx file from MakeHuman and try to import it into Blender, things get nasty.

I've enabled Blender's .mhx import, with no error messages. But when I go through the Import dialogue, Blender hangs and becomes completely unresponsive. If I let it go long enough (meaning more than about a minute), it brings the entire system to its knees, and I have to power-cycle the machine.

Am I the only one who's experiencing this?
