Blender is a fabulous program, is a program of modeling and CAD, its GameEngine already comes built in the program itself, the shortcut to run the engine is P.

Mind you, Unity exports to all kinds of mobile, blender is PC only.

From my understanding:

- Unity is a game engine with publishing capabilities to Android/iPhone/Console/PC.
- Blender has 6 modes... including 3D editing, Video Editing, Sound Editing, Picture editing (via IPO curves, not exactly photoshop), Game/Physics Engine.
Blender is not a bulky program, and installing it installs all of it's editing modes. But you can choose what to use and not use.

Example of Workflow--
If you are an Android game developer, you can use Blender to create environment/models/sprites/UVskin/artwork. Then port them into Unity and assemble in Unity's game/physics engine, then publish to the Android Market.

The only major value Unity offers against blender is the ability to publish to non-PC platforms. At the time of this writing, there is no blender plugin that enables exporting projects to iPhone/Android/Console platforms.
