I'm from the netherlands, I live in Zuid-Holland (south-holland) and use blender for 2 years. At this time I' really interested in the game development and the blender game engine. Years ago I downloaded blender from a silly child game site. They had a design page with software to design with. I downloaded blender and afther using it 2 hours and still didn't understand how to make things, I deleted it. Afther some months when I had a lesson about 3D design, I downloaded blender again, and afther using many tutes, I learned blender. I think blender is coming closly towards professional 3D studios. If they bring back the engine, I think blender would be the best free 3D studio, easiest game engine and best modeling software on the planet. So developers keep developing blender, you guys are doing a great job for pour design students, and another people that won't do illigal things or by expensive 3D software.

It seems I have a knack for screwing up and posting to the wrong places.

It'd be cool if both dev and general chat were on the same site. Oh well...my bad...I used to come here in the past, never knew elysiun was the new blender hangout.

Thanks for the info.

new?

hmm, this site blender.org, is way older than Elysiun.com, so that's the place where users of creating stuff WITH Blender is hanging out, and this is the development site....see the difference?

1) Most unofficial polls on the Blender sites have rarely had well formulated questions and suitable possible answers.

2) Plus the user-base at Blender.org is much smaller than that at Elysiun so when proper polls are needed, the community site would give a more suitable response. Expressing prefence etc via normal forums or on the mail-lists seems to be quite effective on Blender.org coz of the smaller community!

So i vote: yes they are annoying and pointless and even worthless most of the time unfortunatly! :?
