Elysiun?

Whats happening over at elysiun, is it being updated. Or has it crashed or sumthing?

Checked the site this morning, seems to function properly.

that's probably because you are in a different time-zone. here at CEST time elYsiun was down in the morning, due to some changes they were doing. what surprised me is that there was no explanation for it in the forum....

tsk tsk I was simply creating a database copy from, this takes a long while since the database covers over 5 million records and over 500mb.
Reason for doing so was to have a working backup copy of elYsiun running at the website in a secret area, for development purposes.

500MB?! In 5M records?! Sheesh - what *are* you storing in there?! Copies of the FBI database? ;-)

The biggest part of this is the search index, phpBB does this in a wat that is fast but not gentle on diskspace.
The compressed database is btw smaller, but I tend to makes these copies text based.

phpbb rocks. :) and it is a very good idea having a backup of elysiun, since it would be a damn tragedy losing all this... :(
