Blender stuck in crash cycle?

Hello there, I'm new to the forum, and as my first post, I'm going to ask for some help. I tried to use Ctl-L to select linked faces on a part of a character rig while another part of the same object in the rig was already hidden, and Blender crashed. (This was in Weight Paint mode) No biggie, except for the part where Blender won't start again. Every time I launch it, I get the command-line box, but nothing shows inside of it and then a windows error dialog pops up. The crash log is as follows:

"Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: blender.exe
Application Version:
Application Timestamp: 4fab90b4
Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e
Fault Module Version:
Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 830b03aa
OS Version: 6.1.7600."

Anyone have any idea what might be happening? I'm considering doing a fresh install if this keeps up. Perhaps there's a persistent config file somewhere that's causing this?
