UI wishlist

Post by eko » Wed Sep 26, 2012 12:45 pm

Hello all :)
Thanks to the blender team for their great work!

I have some suggestions to improve the workflow in blender:
- Management of presets for constraints and modifier materials, particles, etc ... maybe link to user preferences (as a kind of shared libraries).
- A system of preview when browsing .Blend files (append or link) for mesh objects, materials, images ...
- Factory presets include in blender ... (can be optional as add-ons).

see ya

I think about another feature :
a new window mode whitch name is Import or Elements. In this window, we could organize images, videos, materials, etc in folders... juste to organize the projects ;)

Nico :)

UI wish... "twirly arrows" -would trade anything f

Post by radeoflier » Thu Jun 13, 2013 12:58 am

I find it more cumbersome to have all of the twirly arrows expanded by default; I really wish that Blender (and Adobe for that matter) would have an interface option that closed all of the triangles so that I could navigate faster and with less mouse scrolling. Right now, every time I install an update, I go in and close the arrows and save the UI prefs, but it doesn't always remember.

If anyone has an add-in or script, I'm more than happy to barter or help however I can...

Thanks to the Blender.org peeps for a great tool!
