Status of import e, f, v > (2 << 16 or 64K) ???

Status of import e, f, v > (2 << 16 or 64K) ???

Anyone know if Blender will import scenes with lots of edges, polys, or verts ? What's the current limit.

The 64K limit has been a real sore spot for me with lots of apps.

Every once in a while I like to see who has made some strides to break away from the past.

latest version supports meshes of up to 2 billion faces:
