... for?

in blender publisher you could use them, but not variable bitrate ones and there was no audio features for animation (only for the game engine). This support came from the fmod library

so, do you mean for the audio scrubbing/playing features of blender not intended for the game engine?

Excuse me z3r0_d, my question was to light !
Well, of course, it's for the game Engine ! For many sounds, and long sound (ambiant sound of an outdoor scene for exemple), the WAV format is to heavy ! So, having a lot of sounds will increase the size of the file !
Today, it's logic for Blender to support JPEG, and not only uncompressed image file. So, I was thinking in the same way for the audio (and my preference goes to OGG  ). With this can of support, you could put a complete music in a Game, without having a file 40 Mb in size...

The GameEngine is starting to come back, and I think that a descent audio support with a less one compressed audio format will be greatly appreciated .( Again, sorry for this bad English).

What do you think about that :?:
