Hello All,

Just this past week the company I had worked for released and made available to the public the following streaming video. Unfortunately the size (6.4Mb) might be a tough swallow. ... y_SAGD.wmv

It is almost entirely created with (pure) Blender (98.6%). No plug-ins, no scripts. This released version is about 25 seconds shorter than the initial I created but you still get the message of the project as well as the mechanics of the Blender processes used to create it.

Was a lotta fun to create and produce.

Reminds me of a technology developed here..

Instead of deriving oil products from shale, which I guess this is what this is,
the water is injected into "hot minerals" such as Uranium, and the water is
heated to steam that runs a turbine produces electricity.. I guess people are still sensitive about the use of uranium, after so many artists died from uranium yellow in use of their paintings? Atomic bomb? Faaa...

hmmm, no offense but perhaps you missed the point of the post.
I think this was simply an other illustration of a real-world application that was made possible by Blender.

It's a Public and Investor Relations promo about their project.
