Siggraph is hardly influenced by Blender.
Siggraph will happen with or without Blender.. and has for many many years. I'm glad to see Blender growing and hopefully eventually it will have its own booth again as it did several years back before it was OpenSource.
Have fun those of you going to siggraph! I still can't get the time to go! Hopefully next year!
