As far as I know, blender.nl does not actually resolve to a server any more:
Code: Select all
matt:~ matt$ ping blender.nl
ping: unknown host blender.nl
I have a feeling the spammers are just spoofing the address - not much one can do about that, unfortunately...

blender.nl is down since april 2002.
Spammers spoof everything, including blender.org addresses... :/

obviously, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. welp just another domain to add to the /etc/deny.db

JWalton:
The most likely thing that's happening is that someone has a worm/virus/whatever on their Windows machine and all the blender.nl addresses still in their address book which the worm/visus/etc draws from for spoofing.
Outlook + clueless users = bad.
