UPDATE! Windows release available, who would have imagined this icon_smile.gif
Sweet. I was wondering when we would get to play with this.

Quick reflection on a UI-change of yours. You have your own version of the view properties"-panel, which is pretty kewl, so just some ideas to improve on that:
You should make it scrollable, like Blender-headers. When I opened up an outliner-window, the 3d-view became too small to display all the options, and mmb-clicking affected the 3d-view instead. Also, I can't have both "view properties" and "background image" open at the same time:/

Another thing, that I think applies to the "regular" Blender as well, it would be nice to have "view properties", and maybe "background image" too as icons in the 3dview-header for quicker access.

I tried playing around with the demo-files, and I was like "Tres kewl!", especially regarding the DOF, softbody, and boat-effect(which rocked so hard!). So hoping this stuff will someday be in BF-Blender too(yes, I know softbodies are coming)

I Download the Instinctive 2 Blender Version for Windows and i found some Problems by using the Append function!!

If you Append some Objects or Materials or something else then Blender CRASH!!!
If you Append a complete Scene no Crash!!

Or i must save first the blend files in Blender Instinctive and then i can use Append Correct without Crash!!because the User Presets not loaded from other Blend files! Is this the reason?Sorry for my English!

And if you are in Vertex Paint Mode and you are in 3D Window and press the N Button you see the Colour Picker in a big Window.....is this NORMAL??

Is this a possible bug?

Thanks again for this build!!!!

Poutsa: Danke, ich komme aus der Naehe von Dortmund :)
The Append bug has been fixed a few days ago, it seems like levon_ unfortunately compiled the older release.
I will fix a few bugs and then make another release anyway.

I never used the colorpicker while vertexpainting so I didn't notice this bug. It should appear as the old 'floating panel' (unless I fix the colorpicker to be horizontal). Will fix.

Bellorum: You are right about the secondary headers should be scrollable.. The problem is that they are right now a 'hack' of the old floating panels and still work a lot like them.
You can zoom them though using +/- with the mouse above them. Also, you can have several of them open, just open 2 and move one of them further up.

I don't really agree on a button for "View properties" and "Background image" though. They are very rarely used. And if you use them a lot in a particular scene, you can just keep them open now, as they don't obstruct the view in their instinctive-blender form :)

Another Problem i think is when you use a Backround Image (load a Image) and then you select a Object in 3D window and Press the N key the Horizontal bar dont chance from Backround to Transform Properties...!!
and if you try to close the Backround image Window to open the View Properties Window the buttons dont Draw correct!
Sorry for my English!
Sometimes yes bud not correct i think there is a Problem!

poutsa: Yes, there needs to be done something about auto-arranging the header bars.

On the other hand, they were never planned to be used extensively heh... I just wanted to get rid of those huge clutter-it-up panels in the first place.

But maybe I'll look into this further :)

I think some of these features should be considered for the new Tuhopuu fork(that I suppose is coming), since Tuhopuu is for experimental features anyway. That would certainly make Tuhopuu more fun to play with:)

levon_: No need, I found a few minor things anyway, I'll do a new release one of these days.

Thanks for the help anyway :)

UPDATE: Bugfix release, relevant fixes:

2004-11-26:
* Append from other .blend files didn't work. YUCK.

2004-11-26: RELEASE

2004-11-26:
* Fixed network rendering: When issueing a new job while another job was
running, clients would keep using the old file.
Also made several clients on the same host behave better (unique client ID)

2004-11-27:
* Fixed Vertexpaint (and hopefully other modes) to display the old "Floating
Panel" again on NKEY

2004-11-27: RELEASE

Binaries for other platforms than linux are always welcome.

In the meantime, new convenience feature I always wanted and never got around to do:

2004-11-29:
+ Added a new scene setting "Use Camera" and "Use View", which determines what
is being rendered when pressing F12 or RENDER. In "Use View" mode, the current
3d view will be rendered instead of the camera, unless it is a camera view.

Holding CTRL while pressing F12 or RENDER will also render the current 3d view
even if set to "Use Camera".

ANIM still always renders the camera.
