Blender article at the "Digital Production" mag

First time an article about Blender will be published in the leading german Digital Content Creation mag: Digital Production. I wrote an review of Blender 2.37a that will be available in edition 05:05 on 5. august:

nice: Though I don't understand anything. The balblefish of the intro was somthing like:
The version 2.37a of the Opensource-3D-Software Blender is present - about which features the users in detail can be pleased and the Tool exhibits which deficiencies further, our test shows
So Bart, What does the article say about the current deficiencies of the tools?

missing things are:
- support for 3ds format shipping with blender
- working booleans
- real bevel and bridge tool needed

good things:
- uniform worflow
- softbodies
- more intuitive and interactive modelling
- faster rendering

Blender's best features

ITs the basic set of all tools in 3D, makes me wonder why its not
being taught in most schools first.. Its like the assembly language of 3D tools. There is a belief in Universities (by some professors) that programmers should learn Assembly first and then learn all the other languages, so that developers realize what a language affords them and what is possible. I think blender is just such a tool for 3D artists, but I know the complaint is give people the toys.. But if you want to learn this stuff its best to start with blender.. Its not the best package out there, but you can trust that it won't suddenly disappear, its a good tool to fall back on. It also gives users a perspective by which to compare all other packages, so how to determine which features are fluff and which are hard technologies.
