You should ask at http://www.elysiun.com/forum/ instead, this forum is for discussing the development of blender.

Hmmm. Good idea. Why didn't we come up with a brilliant bright idea like that will puzzle me forever.
Can you send in the funds tommorow? We'll start on that right away, since all of us are lazy bums anyway.

 I guess making fun of n00bs will always be something to entertain one another with. How about I make a universal RTFM-esque image that clearly says, with a friendly arrow or pointing hand, "Elysiun: the forum for Blender users", ya' know? Ok, really, I was being serious.

I don't see why elysiun should be 'the' user forum.

And I was not making fun of a newbee, I was sarcastic about "wtf is elyisun any way souds like asylium". I find comments like that degrading to people who put alot of time and effort in keeping blender accesable and free. It's always pretty easy to comment on what's all wrong, but a bit harder to try and do someting about it themselfs.

I don't know the real story behind the why of this question, personaly I don't understand why the blender users don't have a home at blender.org.
But RTM seems not to be the first thing people do.

I said wtf because i find the quality of that forum low and think its doing more bad that good for the blender cause. If you say its a forum for blender kids so be it then just add a userforum in here for the more mature blender user. Im not the only one thinking this i read posts along this line in the cg blender forum too.

this was what i read today on elysiun

its about an animation thats adult only enjoy.

Yes, I can see how an intelligent and mature man like yourself would get confused. You see, us blender kids at elysiun dont really know where it comes from either, however I got my grandma t oshow me how to use google and apparently the word that "souds like asylium" is actually from the Greek, (most famous example is the elysiun fields, learnt about that in grade 8 btw), meaning paradise.

Yes, I agree the quality of the forum is low. Every day I am confronted with people who cannot spell even simple words like 'sounds'. I really dont know how these kids can even use a computer in the first place. But, I'm not to talk, I tried to spell asylum the other day and ended up sticking in an extra 'i'. And then, there is this terribly immature guy who is only 60! I mean, come on, how do you expect the 170 year olds to get any deccent work done if they have to deal with that level of childishness.

I hope you will correct my many gramatical and spelling mistakes, and I'm sorry if my childish post causes you any discontent as you review the worlds problems. I know I am not worthy to post on these forums, as neither are the many users of elysiun whos work you may find in the blender.org galleries.

Thank you

I think what he is getting at is that the focus sometimes isnt always on CGI, i.e. compared to say cgtalk.com. I guess this is part of the whole blender community thing where it is also a hobby and a place where people socialise with their online friends.

Just my $0.02

Kind Regards
