Argh, Macromedia should be banned because they're not willing to make flash available on 64bit platforms. Idiots they are. These are some small video demos about some new features:

Well that's solved then, macromedia is no more. But isn't flash the most compatible file format around (except from .blend) ?Mats78 wrote: Argh, Macromedia should be banned because they're not willing to make flash available on 64bit platforms. Idiots they are.
I've been away from Blender for over a year, and seeing all these changes in 2.40 made me want to give it a go again.
I'm blown away, there are so many modifications here and there ! Of course the obvious ones are amazing, but then there are all these little things here and there that make your life easier. It feels much more consistant and professional.
Thanks to everyone involved, really.

I'm Completely SHOCK!!
I'm Completely SHOCK!!
Hi fellow Blender Folks, long time no post (me)...
But I couldn't avoid to say Mr Roosendaal, and all of his crew,
you fellows just did it this time. It's an amazing set of tools for
a GNU 3D app! It's UNIQUE!!!
I just couldn't reach to review all of these features, this proggie is
going to be a serious competitor for 8K$++ software. Indeed, I'm
considering to *Definitely* forget about using Maya, for I can find
so much of its tools & others right here (& easiest to use).
As not everything could be Oooh Woow Ton you're my hero, here are
some drawbacks I want you to consider in terms of functioning:
- The new RVK's only works with ALT-D instead of SHIFT-D....
That limits a lot.
- The NURBS Tool has almost 6 years untouched, or barely. Why?
I wish to join this effort in the Game Engine Dev Team, I just wish I
could have more time... Sometime.

Because none of the coders were interested in working on it probably. However, now that Nurbana integration happened for the Summer of Code project and should be shipped with 2.41 there will be big improvements to come for Nurbs. The NURBS Tool has almost 6 years untouched, or barely. Why?
