Blender desides textures are not important

I have this nice animation I made for a school project. I went and did textures and everything, but now when I go to render it, only select textures. Can someone explain this to me in uber n00b language? I have put two pictures at the bottom one of my render settings and the other of a renderd frame.

If your texture is UVmapped, try the [TexFace] button in the [Material] panel.
You can get more help on the forums, because thi's the developper forun.
