PNG Transparency

Post by aqsalter » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:55 pm

Funny, just now the top topic in the forums was about tranparency, and I was just coming to ask. Though maybe they had guessed my question...

But my question is how to/is it possible to generate a PNG with transparency from Blender?

I.e. I want to make some cool "glass" effects for website PNGs and want to create it from blender in 3d and then render to PNG, with trans background

Here's an example I prepared earlier... (done in Fireworks ATM)

yes, enable rgba in the render buttons and choose to render to png

.... if you want the shadow to show up on transparent then you need to use a "shadow only" material

OK thanks.

If I get it working I'll post a sample. ;)
